These are the latest cards for sale.  French Hens, Free Bird and Heart Knit.  All unique with characters of their own, using free machine embroidery and needlefelting techniques.

These mini quilted pieces are entitled 'Dusk' and relate to the theme of Liminal for Prism's annual textile show at the Mall Galleries in London in May 2013.  Dusk becomes the moment that lingers between day and night.  I sketched the egrets when I was in Padstow, Cornwall last April 2012, there were lots of them dotted around the empty estuary before the tide came in.  Drawing is important to me, I like the haphazard nature of making a line that sometimes works or doesn't.  I am also very interested in Japanese art and culture, and on this occasion is reflected in the use of indigo linen, folding techniques and a red 'seal' motif (often a lino cut that I've made).

Nice Birds, Angry Birds
Needlefelt on heavyweight Welsh fleece.

Another submission for the Liminal exhibition in May 2013, using my favourite seagulls as the protagonists of the title.  Seagulls are the guardians of the beach, their cries call out 'We are nearly at the seaside.'  However when provoked at the sight of food - icecream, a sandwich or discarded chips they become vicious predators arguing and fighting amongst themselves.
